1.     Palm Sunday, April 02 marks the beginning of the Holy Week.  (Blessing of the Palms on Sunday at 6.45 a.m.) After the 5:30 p.m. Mass, we move in procession to the grounds, followed by singing of Veronica’s Canticle and sermon in Marathi.

2.     Maundy Thursday, April 06, the 5:30 p.m. Mass is for the sick and aged. The solemn Celebration of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of the feet will be at the 7:30 p.m. Mass. Love offerings of rice and dal for the poor, can be offered at both Masses.

Eucharistic Adoration after Mass will be as follows: 9:30 pm in Tamil, 10:00 pm in Konkani, 10:30 pm in Marathi and 11:00 pm in English.

3.     Good Friday, April 07, is a day of Fast & Abstinence. Stations of the Cross are as follows: 6:30 am in Marathi, 7:00 am in Konkani, 7:30 am in Tamil, Enactment of the Passion of Christ 8:00 am to 9:30 am on the Church grounds, Three Hours Agony 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., preached by Fr. Warner D’Souza.  At 6.00 pm:  Celebration of our Lord’s Passion, main celebrant is Fr Neil dos Santos, Chancellor of the Archdiocese.  This will be followed by Passo Service with sermon in Marathi.

4.     Holy Saturday, April 08 – Seven Sorrows of Our Blessed Mother Mary from 8:00 am to 9:00 am

  Easter vigil Service is at 8:00 p.m.

5.     Easter Sunday, April 09– Morning Masses are at 7:00, 8:00 & 9:00 a.m. NO Evening Mass.

6.     Parking during the Holy Triduum will only be allowed near JWC and the area in front of the parish office. No parking on the Church grounds. Kindly follow the instructions of the Ushers.

7.       DIVINE MERCY novena begins on Good Friday, Apr 07. Novena service will be @ 3:00 p.m. daily in the Church. Divine Mercy Feast will be celebrated on Sun, April 16 @ 5.30 pm Mass. There will also be a Thanksgiving Holy Hour from 12 noon to 1 pm. Please attend in large numbers.

8.     The Johannian Youth will have their meeting on Sunday, April 02 at 10:30 am in the school hall. Requesting the current 10th std students to be there for this meeting.

9.     The Johannian Youth are organizing SUMMER DHAMAKA from 3rd to 13th May 2023 for all our parish children. The registration forms are available in the Parish office. Limited seats available. For further details kindly contact Fr Harry.

11.  Senior Citizen of our parish is organizing an Easter Get-together on Thu, April 13 from 5.30 to 7.30 pm in School Hall. Registration Rs. 50/ can be done at the parish office, latest by Mon, April 10.

12.  St. John the Evangelist High School, is organizing Summer Talent Camp open also to parish children of other schools from 17th April to 29th April, 2023. This will include indoor, outdoor games, dance, handicraft etc.
